Teeth Whitening in Bucks County
Bucks County Smiles provides Teeth Whitening services with over 75 combined years of experience!
Unfortunately, some normal, everyday habits can leave a lasting impression on the color of your teeth (e.g., drinking a cup of coffee in the morning or taking a certain prescription medication). Teeth whitening treatments lift these stains and improve the shade of your teeth, brightening your smile. We are experienced Bucks County teeth whitening dentists who offer several options to lighten your teeth.
Candidates for Teeth Whitening
You may seek teeth whitening treatment for one of several different reasons. You may have deep-set stains from smoking or drinking lots of coffee, tea or red wine. Perhaps you have simply experienced a darkening in your teeth from normal wear and tear over the years. These are all suitable reasons to desire teeth whitening treatment.
Teeth Whitening Treatment Options
We offer three options for removing deep-set stains: Zoom in-office, Kor Whitening or at-home teeth whitening. You may choose to come in to our office for a 90-minute Zoom whitening appointment. We will coat your teeth in a peroxide gel, protecting your gums with a special rubber dam. The gel will need to sit for a period of time (usually one hour, broken up into several intervals). A light may be used to activate the ingredients in the gel and lift stains.
We also provide take-home whitening kits. These kits consist of a lower-concentration peroxide gel which should be dispensed into special bleaching trays (that resemble mouth guards) and left on your teeth for a few hours or overnight. Take-home whitening treatment usually takes two to three weeks.
The Kor Whitening System
Kor Whitening is an amazing process that whitens teeth that are normally difficult to whiten. Even patients who have tried numerous whitening products and procedures in the past can see visible results with Kor Whitening.
With Kor Whitening, you will use custom trays and special home-whitening solutions combined with one or two in-office whitening sessions. This treatment can transform hard-to-whiten smiles, such as smiles with tetracycline-stained teeth.
Benefits of Teeth Whitening
Both in-office and at-home whitening have their own unique benefits. In-office Zoom whitening is quick and effective; after a 90-minute appointment, your smile will look about eight shades whiter and brighter (on average). At-home whitening may be preferable because you can whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home; just insert the trays before going to sleep or while you are relaxing around the house. At-home results are similarly impressive, and you’ll be able to keep your trays to touch-up your teeth before big events. It is also important to get your teeth as close to your desired shade as possible before getting porcelain veneers, dental implants and any other of our top cosmetic dentistry procedures.
