Our health and safety protocols not only meet local and state government requirements but exceed them.
Respiratory diseases such as COVID-19 can be easily transmitted via moist droplets that can be released when people breathe, speak, cough, or sneeze. Thus, our strategy in dealing with COVID has been to implement the latest innovative technologies in air purification and office disinfection. Our first priority is to keep our patients safe.
Our advanced germ mitigation technologies are designed to protect our patients from pathogens, whether they be from coronavirus, the flu, or another germ. They do this in part by filtering viral particles from the air. We will explain more about our advanced protocols below.

After you schedule your appointment with us, you will receive an email confirmation with details of the appointment. This email will contain important instructions, so please be sure to read it once you receive it.
A few days before the appointment, you will receive a reminder either via text or email to confirm the appointment. You will also be given an opportunity to fill out and update any needed forms, including outdated forms such as your medical history.
In our efforts to go above and beyond the requirements for COVID safety, we have instituted a number of improvements to our sanitation processes. First, we have isolated each and every patient treatment room with doors and other enclosures to keep patients safe.
Second, all our providers, including our dentists and dental hygienists, are wearing tightly sealed N95 masks covered by a second surgical mask.
We provide hand sanitizer at the front and in treatment rooms that you should use before proceeding in our office.
At Bucks County Smiles, we have installed medical-grade filters in each room. The Medify MA-112 Air Purifier is proven to remove coronavirus and other contaminants from the air. The air turnover is almost 6 times every 5 minutes, which far exceeds CDC recommendations.
We also use iWave technology, which is an air purification system for our HVAC air circulation system. iWave purifies and cleans air before it is circulated through the rest of the system.
Once you leave our office, there are vigorous decontamination procedures that we thoroughly train our staff to perform. For example, we use a peroxide-based cleaning system and electrostatic foggers to clean and disinfect surfaces that were not physically scrubbed.
